Black Tiger is a paranormal action adventure romance. Australian doctor Sally Carter has accepted a position in India to get over a broken heart. She loves her work and the opportunities she has to indulge in her photography hobby. But she’s bothered by nightmares.
She walked along the jungle path between the crowding, clutching branches, unease growing with every step. It was here, somewhere, she felt the panic roiling in her gut. When it landed in front of her she whirled and ran, ran from the glowing golden eyes. The beast bounded behind her, the heavy paws thumping on the ground. Thud… thud… She heard its breath hissing between its teeth.
With a shaking hand Sally wiped sweat from her forehead. Again. Her heart hammered, pounding in her chest. It was so real, as if the tiger was going to catch her. She sat up and turned on the bedside lamp. Near enough to 5am. At least she didn’t have to work today. And if she wasn’t mistaken, Ash would be home soon.
Damn it, don’t think about him. Fat chance of that. She’d thought about him every day, wondered where he was, what he was doing. And it was more than a physical attraction. She loved his smile, the way he walked, almost prowled. And he was always so kind and gentle and attentive. She huffed a sigh. And unattainable. Even if he wanted her, too, even if he fell in love, it would be wrong. They were from different worlds. It would never work.
She scrambled out of bed and fetched a glass of water from the kitchen, slopping only a little on the bench as she poured. A dream, just a dream. As she gulped the water down, a shadow appeared beside her.
